METROPOL Group of companies sponsored the Cup of the President of the Russian Federation on sambo.

On June, 16th, 2007 the worlds 10 strongest sambo combined team from Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Korea, Mongolia, Ukraine and Venezuela gathered for the tournament in Moscow. In the Cup-Final the Russian team gained the confident victory over the Georgian team (score 8: 1).
