The National Rating Agency confirmed the individual reliability rating of IFC METROPOL at AAA level (maximum reliability)
METROPOL Group is an international investment and industrial
group funded by Russian capital that unites key industries and
economic sectors such as trading, asset management and consulting,
banking and investment, mining business, real estate and
travelling, innovation technologies.
The basic element of METROPOL Group is the Investment Financial
Company METROPOL. Founded in 1995 the company operates on the
largest markets both in Russia and abroad and provides a wide range
of consulting and investment services in various sectors of
business.
The founder and self-perpetuating head of the Group is Mikhail
Slipenchuk.
IFC METROPOL provides a full range of brokerage and asset
management services for institutional investors and private
clients, provide them with a comprehensive range of capital market
products, such as operations with shares, dept instruments
(promissory notes and bonds), and futures. The company also
provides the clients with the access to trading on all major
Russian exchanges, including the MICEX, the RTS and the St.
Petersburg Stock Exchange. The total trading volume of transactions
reached $ 40 billion in equity in 2008.
IFC METROPOL can open doors for domestic issuers on the Russian and
Western capital markets in order to attracts investments through
IPOs (Initial Public Offering), private placements and private
placement among the wide range of portfolio and strategic
investors.
Priority areas in the corporate finance business include activity
concerning reorganizations, acquisitions and sales of businesses,
crisis management, capital raising through debt and equity, and
asset sales as well as financial and corporate consulting.
The total volume of capital raising, merger and acquisition and
business restructuring transactions exceeds $ 180 billion. About $
90 billion of that amount was generated from transactions that were
either completed or announced in 2008.
IFC METROPOL conducts operations on international markets. The
company has its own offices in London, Paris, Vancouver, Tokyo,
Beijing, and other largest financial centers. METROPOL Group also
opened a bank subsidiary in the Democratic Republic of Congo in
2008.
