Acknowledgement letter to IFC METROPOL as a strategic partner of the BEF 2012 International Conference from V.V. Nagovitsyn, Head of the Republic of Buryatia

On 13 September, at the meeting that took place as part of the International Economic Conference “New Economics – New Approaches” within the VII Baikal Economic Forum, Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn, Head of the Republic of Buryatia, in a formal ceremony handed an acknowledgement letter to the strategic partner of the Forum - Bair Tsyrenov, Director for Regional Activities with IFC METROPOL, appreciating cooperation in the development of the «Baikal harbor» Special Economic Zone of tourism and vacation type in the Republic of Buryatia.

IFC METROPOL provides a lot of support in this promising sector for Buryatia and implements projects aimed at developing Buryatia as an international tourism center. Over the past four years, the company carried out the large-scale project MIRs on Baikal, signed a cooperation agreement with the leading Japanese travel agency JTB, funded by the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal, and has been supporting a variety of festivals and motor rallies on Baikal.

“Through our friendship and cooperation, the republic is undergoing significant change. We can consider today's forum our own child, as we have held it together. Thank you very much”, – said V. Nagovitsyn, Head of Buryatia, at the meeting.
