IFC METROPOL joins European Business Congress
IFC METROPOL has become a member of the European Business
Congress (EBC). Mikhail Slipenchuk, CEO of IFC METROPOL, attended
the XIII annual general meeting of EBC and XXII meeting of the
congress panel in Cannes on June 10-11, 2011. The meeting was
attended by 250 representatives of companies and organizations from
23 OSCE member countries. Within the framework of the EBC general
meeting, the “Natural Gas – the Energy of the 21st Century”
conference took place.
Information
The European Business Congress is an international
non-governmental and non-profit organisation, founded in December
1997 in Bonn, Germany. The president of the EBC is Dr. Alexey
Miller, Gazprom JSC. The vice-president is Dr. Tessen von
Heydebreck, Deutsche Bank AG.
The EBC has 117 members from 23 OSCE countries, including such
major corporations and banks, as Gazprom, ExxonMobil, Daimler
Chrysler, Siemens, Shell, ConocoPhillips, Total, Deutsche Bank,
Dresdner Bank, Alcatel, Wintershall, E.ON Ruhrgas and GDF Suez. The
Secretariat of the EBC is located in Berlin.
The EBC objectives are:
- To support development of economic cooperation among OSCE
countries;
- To promote economic development in OSCE
countries;
- To ensure sustainable dialogue between political and
business communities.
