A museum and planetarium complex of "Museum of the Noosphere" is under construction at full pelt in Irkutsk.

The complex can now truly be called unique. A multifunctional building will include an interactive museum, as well as a planetarium, an observatory, offices and utilities, and a restaurant. Landscapers will plant trees in the adjacent territory. Parking spaces will also be available.
A pit has already been excavated and the first basement storey with floor structures has been built of reinforced concrete. The builders promised to complete the second floor with floor structures before August 1, 2011 and are planning to construct the frame of the building with a solid-cast dome of the planetarium before September 10.
Such a record-breaking construction time is explained by the fact that the developer wants to commission the complex by a remarkable jubilee day - the 350th anniversary of Irkutsk, which will be widely celebrated in September this year.
