Ozerny GOK receives heavy machinery

In July, 2010 general earthwork and mining operations have begun at Ozernoye deposit. The contractor of these works is "MechTrans" LLC, which has become a winner of the tender announced by the MBC Corporation in the beginning of this year.

According to the contractor services agreement, "МеchTrans" undertakes to carry out construction of pit roads, ore stockpile, drainage ditches and an ore body opening trench at Ozernoye deposit. For these works the heavy machinery fleet will be used: bulldozer, backfiller, dump trucks, graders, vibratory compactors, etc.

All mining and construction works are carried out by the contractor according to the Technical Enquiry, “PiterGORproject” LLC Project Design and the approved 2010 Mining Operations Plan of “OzGOK” JSC.

The MBC Corporation continuously gives a special attention to environmental safety of all the works to be carried out in the framework of deposit development and further ore mining and processing. To that end, the contractor is responsible for prevention of any kind of activities causing pollution and environmental deterioration at the works sites and adjacent territories.

The abovementioned works will be completed by mid-autumn 2010.

To remind, it is planned to launch in 2010 the mining enterprise construction with annual 1 million tons of ore output.
